If you want to learn about Burmese history, drop by National Museum. This museum is established in 1952 which has 4 floors to exhibits different types of interesting objects in the former days. In the 1st floor, it shows about epigraphy of Burmese, 2nd floor displays about the golden-lion throne of the former kings, 3rd floor presents about the miniature of the grand palace and the last floor is about historical objects of all ethnic minorities in Myanmar. National museum is available every day except on weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for both local and foreign tourists.

It's the memorial of Allied soldiers from the British Commonwealth who passed away in battle in Burma during the Second World War. Five holders of Victorian Cross are interred at this site including with the name of Commonwealth soldiers over 27,000 names in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gurmukhi, and Burmese and 1,819 graves. This cemetery is located in the village of Taukkyan about 25 km north of Yangon on Pyay Road.
